ok, with Mc Collum close to begin his first game in the NBA, it is not like Portland is missing guards.
On the other hand, defensively they are lacking assets. Obviously, the usual suspects here are both Lillard & Williams, but even Matthews can be struggling - vs other guards, everyone knows that taller wing opponents regulary posts him easily .
A cheap move could be done with Toronto to get Buycks. He is on a cheap contract (700k$ according to Storyteller's site) and the trade works by sending Claver (since he is expendable...), the facilitator being Daye (again, on a cheap contract). You could send Barton too, but i don't think the raptors have any need for him (nor any other GM honnestly...).
I think Toronto might be interested since they don't really have room for Buycks right now, and they would get a stretch 4 to spread the floor (as long as Claver remembers he can hit the long 2 instead of throwing away 3's like he is ryan Anderson). Something they could use to help Valanciunas's growth.
Buycks would be an interesting asset for the blazer as he was really good defensively - 1/1 at least - in the french league last year (i am pretty well placed to speak about it). He is not a true play maker though, but there are enough wing players that can help and make up for it. He is pretty good on the drive too, and a good ft shooter.
I might be wrong, but since i expect Mc Collum to be another liability in D, i would not mind seeing Oshley make such a move, as long as Stotts is willing to give this guy a try (at least 15mn a game).
