First and foremost, this isn't a proposition. I'm not a proponent of this trade in the least bit. However, it definitely has me thinking about our future and I haven't talked about or thought about trade options and future roster moves for at least a month - so I thought, why not throw this out there.
I was perusing on ESPN.com and came across this Insider article posted yesterday. Basically, Mr. Kaiser proposes that an Omer Asik, Terrence Jones, and Donatas Motiejunas for Aldridge deal would be worth considering for the Blazers. I can't tell you how much I HATE that idea. However, I'm curious to know if I'm in the minority or not. Isn't that on the extreme low end of what we could get for Aldridge in return? I can homer out sometimes, so perhaps I'm overvaluing Aldridge a bit - I don't know.
What do you think? Is that a good deal? Could we do better? If so - what kind of a deal would be realistic. I know one thing - I'd like to get something in return for him either this year or next year if he's planning on bolting anyways.
