Rip City Rewind - Undefeated Once Again

Another week has come and gone for the Blazers, and yet again they are undefeated at 3-0 this week. Rip City has managed to pull of 9 straight wins (although many of them against inferior competition) and this team has infused the Pacific Northwest with energy once again! I live up in the Seattle area and believe me people are still super bitter regarding the Sonics leaving for Oklahoma City, so there is a massive fan base up here searching for an NBA team to root for.

My MVP for the week was Wes Matthews -- I mean c'mon the dude has averaged 22.3 points so far in their 3 games this week while shooting a blistering 48% from the land of plenty! How was he left off the All-Star ballot? Conspiracy -- I'm sure of it! Regardless, it has lit a fire under him and the Blazers should be pleased that he is playing at an All-Star caliber level.

Last night's game was unreal -- just unreal. What a comeback and I loved that Robin Lopez played a HUGE role in that 3rd qtr swing. He was boarding like a maniac in there and finished with a career high 16 rebounds! Keep it going RoLo!

Here's my parting stat -- Wes Matthews is on pace to hit 253 three pointers this season! Last season the only person higher than that was Steph Curry who set the single-season NBA record with 272.
