The basics are this: four teams - Blazers, Bobcats, Lakers, Hawks - each get some reasonable chips. Charlotte also gives Atlanta their 2013 Detroit pick, but the Trade Machine doesn't have an option for that.
- Blazers get expiring contracts (and one team option) and an extra 4.5 million in free agency.
- Bobcats get a star (though expensive) player, in exchange for a good draft pick and some change.
- Lakers get rid of Pau Gasol, and get a good replacement option.
- Hawks get a nice draft pick for their rebuilding process, in exchange for their disgruntled star player.
