So I was half-heartedly listening to NPR on the way to work, and the Lance Armstrong story came on, and it occurred to me again how I never hear anyone talk about the possibility of NBA players using Performance Enhancing Drugs? I remember that though occurred to me often during the Dallas playoffs two years ago, as I watched an exhausted Dirk Nowitzki claw his way to the top. I thought, why the hell wouldn't he be blood-doping? This might be his last shot at a ring, and the temptation would be very strong. According to this hoopshype article, the NBA has stringent piss-test rules, but that's the first I ever heard about it. And I'm not sure that piss-tests reveal blood-doping...? (Sorry, I didn't research all my questions before posting this.)
