I remember I used to wait to pen JD's until I had something mildly important to include as the junk topic. Lately I can't think of anything important to say, though, so you'll just have to come up with good content.

Since I have to get to 75 words, I'll post about my favorite thing I bought for Christmas--7 Wonders, a board game I gave my brother.

For reference, some of our favorite board games include:

• Acquire
• Ticket to Ride
• Carcassonne
• Settlers of Catan
• Dominion

7 Wonders is a card game/board game whose selling point is that it's quick (can play in 45-60 minutes), fun and there is very little dead time. There are 3 phases, and each phase has 6 turns. On every turn, everyone can play at the same time, as you're building on your own board. The goal is to get your city's production up to speed early in the game so later you can start to build more prestigious items worth victory points.

I'd be curious of there are other board gamers out there in the JD, and any favorite games you might have.
