Roughly 0-3 of you will recall a foresightful little post last August, in which I explored in marginal detail the possible benefits of signing Solomon Alabi to the Portland Trailblazers. Well, it seems that the big-wigs-that-be thought that was a pretty good idea, too, and decided to do me one similar: Solomon Alabi signed with the Idaho Stampede two weeks ago. Humble guy that I am, I decided to wait a couple of weeks before I bragged about it/found out about it.
Alabi is doing with the Stampede what he did in his very few games as an NBA player last year: putting up nice numbers in few minutes, averaging 8.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 0.4 turnovers in 17 minutes per game. This is the D-League, but these numbers are very similar to what he was putting up in those few NBA games.
With Leonard out for a bit, should we call up Alibi to be our reserve center?
