"Draft and Stash" revisited.

A good number of teams still prescribe to the "draft and stash" method of harvesting international talent in order to create their own version of free agency with players no other team in the NBA can play except the team that drafted them, where teams only competition is the European clubs who may be able to offer a little more money and playing time, something increasily doubtfull in a European declining economy. And those franchises can’t offer the chance at glory in the NBA. By playing this game, these teams also prevent themselves from overpaying, which is more important than ever, considering the new NBA tax code. They also can afford to develop a young player overseas, while young American players have to be given a contract as soon as drafted.

Considering the Blazers´s limited options in bringing in players every year due to draft position, salary cap constraints and free agency appeal, we should creat a market to bring in new players which addresses many of the limitations we face.

Here is a list in al phabetical order of the 2013 international NBA players who were drafted lower than 20th in the draft or undrafted, so we can take a look at how this strategy has been working so far.

Now my questions are:
What do you think about the "draft and stash" strategy? Would you like the BLazers to draft and stash international players? Have you targeted any international player/s you want the Blazers to draft, especially in the second round?
