Haynes: Blazers Part Ways With Development Asst. Dan Dickau

9

Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com reports that the Portland Trail Blazers and new coach Terry Stotts will not bring back player development assistant Dan Dickau, who spent one season with the team. However, Dickau is a finalist in the Idaho Stampede's coaching search. The Stampede are the Blazers' D-League affiliate. Update: He's reportedly not getting that job. Last week, the Blazers announced the hiring of Dale Osbourne, who joins three other new assistants who were hired earlier in August. The Blazers announced Stotts' hiring back on August 7. Also this summer, former Blazers assistant coach Larry Greer joined the Arizona State staff, former Blazers director of player development Dean Cooper joined the Houston Rockets, former Blazers assistant coach Bernie Bickerstaff joined the Los Angeles Lakers and former Blazers assistant Bob Ociepka joined the Los Angeles Clippers. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
