The LA Lakers are launching their own channel. Stop me if this sounds familiar, but various cable and satellite providers are balking at the cost of providing it, when all they're getting are basketball games, and limited other programming. Of course, with LA being a much larger market, there will probably be enough complaints to work this out. But this is probably a sign of things to come nationwide.
