Eggers: Paul Allen Pleased With Progress From Seahawks

Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune caught Portland Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen's reaction to a weekend win for his Seattle Seahawks. In what is surely music to Blazers GM Neil Olshey's ears, Allen sounded unusually patient and pleased with his current management regime. ------------------------------- It’s too early to tell exactly where the Seahawks are in the third year under [coach Pete] Carroll and general manager John Schneider. It’s clear they have made strides since Carroll and Schneider took over. The defense appears strong, [quarterback Russell] Wilson is promising and the owner is optimistic. "You can’t help but like the progress we’ve had," Allen said. "When you have a new GM and coach, it takes awhile for them to get the players for their system, to implement what they want to do and get the roster the way they want it. You’re starting to see all that click now." ------------------------------- The Seahawks finished 7-9 in both 2010 and 2011. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
