Deveney: Gerald Wallace Has NBA's No. 6 Most Toxic Contract

Sean Deveney of SportingNews.com ranks the most toxic contracts in the NBA, including Brooklyn Nets forward Gerald Wallace in the No. 6 spot. The Portland Trail Blazers traded Wallace to the Nets at the 2012 trade deadline in exchange for a first-round pick that became rookie guard Damian Lillard. --------------------------------- 6. Gerald Wallace, Brooklyn Nets. Wallace made out well thanks to the Nets’ anxiety over potentially losing Williams, landing a four-year, $40 million contract at the start of the summer. That is not a terribly unreasonable contract, but considering Wallace just turned 30 and seemed to take a step back last year, this is not a contract other teams would be eager to acquire. --------------------------------- No current Blazers made the list. Portland's former free agency target, Hedo Turkoglu, now back with the Orlando Magic, ranks No. 1 on the list. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
