I recently read that SBN and specifically the Blazersedge were going to be experiencing a face lift or revamp if you will. I had already been thinking about doing a post on this subject anyways and after reading that, I thought this might be a good time. The whole point of my post is to hear ideas from others and post a few of my own of things we might like to see added or changed to this site. Hopefully, a public discussion of ways to better this site might have some profound ways with which we get to interact with it. For example, I know a bunch of people on here have been asking for an edit button allowing them to fix typos. Who knows? If enough people ask for it maybe they will get it. I for one have checked out a few of the other SBN site to see what they looked like and what they had that was different from our site. Some things were totally silly like the fact that OKC site has the entire roster listed down the left hand column of their front page! Also, I find the "how are you feelng poll" a little bit silly as well. Some things I would like to see added to our front page are: 1. Use the left hand column for team stuff like schedule, standings etc. I like the [win/loss-games back-streak-games left] box, but it seems out of place on the right side. 2.The teams schedule-either list the games that are playing for the week and whether they are home or away. Or have a calendar with the games marked in each square. 3.The standings-either show our division or the western conference standings. 4.An updating game scoreboard-with stats showing game leaders for Blazers in Points assists rebounds and blocks. I know there are links to some of this stuff at the top of the page and thats cool. I just think these should be a permanent part of the main page. Some might argue that it will slow down the loading of the main page. It might. But these are just my ideas, they arent set into stone yet... As for this post, its reaching its conclusion. Please dont turn this into a bash the Blazersedge for all the things you hate about it. But lets have some real ideas thrown around on what you might like to see on this site in the future.
