Remme: Brandon Roy Adjusting To New Life With Timberwolves

Mark Remme of Timberwolves.com continues the team's wall-to-wall coverage of new guard Brandon Roy with a look behind-the-scenes at his recent workouts. Roy discusses the transition to his new digs after spending five seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. ----------------------------------- Brandon Roy admits it took a moment to fully absorb his new surroundings. During his first week training with the Timberwolves' staff in Minnesota, Roy—who spent five years in Portland before taking last year off because of his knees—felt a little different wearing the Wolves’ colors. "It’s funny, I was sitting in the locker room today and they got me my shoes and it was weird I’m going from red and white to blue and white," Roy said. "A little different but I got used to it fast." ... "Every day you walk in and you see your uniform there, a smile comes to my face," Roy said. "Just meeting everybody: The equipment guys, talking with the coaches and just getting back in this process is really great for me. There was a chance I wouldn’t play basketball again, so to be back in the NBA in these facilities and working with the guys is a dream come true for me." ----------------------------------- Video from one of his workouts was posted last week. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
