Dear Wesley,

Maybe you've seen the videos of Brandon Roy practicing for the Timberwolves. Maybe you remember the games we saw him play (amazing 4th quarter vs the Mavericks anyone?). Maybe you have an idea of what this guy is going to bring to the court this season having played with him and against him in practice.

Looking at the video that has been surfacing there is no doubt in my mind that Brandon Roy is going to have a solid season. Not All-Star, not All-NBA.. but a very solid season. He is any a situation where Kevin Love is starting to get a LOT of attention. Double teams, defensive schemes against him, etc. This alone will create open looks for a knockdown jump shooter like Brandon Roy.

So Wesley this is where you come in. All I'm asking is that you shut Brandon Roy down in the Rose Garden.

Don't get me wrong. I will cheer the loudest of anyone for Roy's return. I might even rock one of my Roy jerseys. I hope he has a fantastic season for the Timberwolves.

But at the Rose Garden I want you to shut him down. Make this your personal mission. Forget scoring. Don't try to out-Roy him. Save your energy for defense and make sure he doesn't get an open look, a lane to drive down or anything resembling an easy lay-up.

If B-Roy walks into the Rose Garden and drops a huge game on us its going to hurt. And I'm going to blame you.

Make it hard on him.
