If you're going to go with a young coach like Kaleb, why not bring in a legendary basketball mind in Jackson to mentor him? I know Olshey may feel threatened by Phil, but if he just wants to help out coaching and do his zen motivational tactics with players, what's the harm? I think it's absolutely crucial to give Kaleb a mentor and Phil Jackson is one of the best. Maybe Phil is not interested but if he wants to help out as a part time coach the blazers are a perfect situation. Plus the team is young and will definitely be open to his advice. Kaleb will still be able to choose his assistant coaches and Olshey has already put his stamp on this team by the draft and choosing the next coach. Bring in the zenmaster and make most of the fanbase happy.
