Chris Andersen's offers have been from the $1.2 to $5 million range per season.

Forgive me if I sound skeptical, but I find it doubtful that he has any solid offers up to $5M considering that he was waived for $4.6M and could have been claimed for some portion of that by a team under the cap. With that said, it is also possible that any and all offers he might be getting are pending the clearing up of a messy police investigation.

There is the question of what will happen with a police investigation — his home was searched in an "internet crimes against children" probe, one where his attorney claimed it was part of an extortion plot. However, that investigation came to light in May, if the police had hard evidence this would be beyond an ongoing investigation. That said, nobody is talking so it still looms.

Hopefully it really was just an extortion plot, but I think teams are wise to wait for that to play out before committing to him. That's a shame if he's innocent, but that's also life
