2012 Olympics Final Day: Men's Basketball, Closing Ceremonies

Stay connected for news and updates

The final day of the 2012 Olympics has arrived! And we'll finally learn who will go home with Gold Medals in Men's basketball (the suspense is killing me). A few other events are happening as well, but things will quickly wind down today.

UPDATE: Just like four years ago, Team USA withstood a strong challenge, then pulled away from Team Spain down the stretch to win the Gold Medal, 107-100. Earlier, Team Russia won the Bronze Medal, holding off Team Argentina 81-77. There's only one event remaining:

  • 8:00 pm | NBC | Olympic Closing Ceremonies (tape delayed, as always)

If you need something to talk about, have some fun answering this light-hearted question: If basketball players had as many Olympic events as swimmers, what do you think those events would be?

Hang out here for one final Olympics Gameday Thread. But don't fret, there will be plenty of Blazers coverage and analysis all Summer here. -- Tim
