Here we are with an existing Player that we may have to pay up $50 mil over four years versus a Player we may pay almost $60 mil over four years.
One is a Player who we drafted and has been inconsistent. The other is a Player who has started to emerge.
One is a Player who is one of MANY available in his position, while the other is a Top 5 and hard to come by.
One is a Player who is only 23 and "could" get a lot better, the other is one who plays a position that we have struggled to try to have play injury-free, thru our teams history.
One is a Player, whose agent is creating mayhem and this Player apparently wants to play elsewhere. One is a Player who was "blown away" by Neil Olshey.
Both players would put us at the cap or over. Meaning we really couldn't bring in other roll players. We would be like the Miami Heat, last year, a great starting five, but no bench.
So this leads me to this, if you had to choose ONE, who would you choose: Batum or Hibbert?
It is in my opinion, that if we take both, we are going to be hampered by cap restrictions for too many years. If we choose one, it will open more doors.
