Wanted to get feed back from Blazers fans. How many wins do you think the lineup below can get if it stayed healthy? Also, how would you compare the lineup to the 2011 season openning lineup?
PG - Lillard 32 minutes and Smith 16 minutes
SG - Matthews 24 minutes and Williams 24 minutes
C - Freeland 18 minutes, Leonard 18 minutes and Aldridge 12 minutes
PF - Aldridge 24 minutes and Hickson 24 minutes
SF - Batum 36 minutes and Matthews 12 minutes
My question marks include:
I doubt Smith is ready for that many minutes per night. But playing steady minutes should improve his game.
Williams has yet to show he can play 24 minutes per game, but if he plays up to his ability I think splitting the SG minutes with Matthews would give the team a nice tandem.
Reducing Freeland and Leonard to 18 minutes per night would allow them to play hard without worrying about fouling out.
Playing Matthews at small forward for 3 minutes per quarter, giving the team a fast 3 guard look would be interesting. I would like to see a lineup of Lillard, Williams, Matthews, Hickson, and Aldridge run the court for 12 minutes per night.
Again how would you compare this lineup with Felton, Matthews, Camby, Aldridge, Batum - with Smith, Crawford, Thomas and Wallace off the bench.
