THE DAMIAN LILLARD ERA!

but seriously this kid can ball. I like to call him Damian 'Gametime' Lillard because he really knows how to play basketball.

I know people are still doubting his abilities as a PG because even Bayless played this well during summer league, but here's the biggest difference, when I watched Bayless' MVP summer league, he always seemed a little out of control and was always using his strength to get into the paint and get fouled. I mean most of his points came from the free throw line, in transition, and they also usually came early in the shot clock. His stats at the end of summer league were 29.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and just 1.3 assists. He obviously had one thing on his mind to score the basketball... and not gonna lie he's really good at it...

Damian Lillard is way different. To even compare them is an insult to Lillard. Don't get me wrong I'm not a Bayless hater I actually have his jersey... I was a huge Rex fan. But when I watch Lillard, I never get the feeling that he is out of control. He's always reading the defense, and I feel like he's making decisions that he feels is the best for the team. I'm sure there are a lot of you Blazer fans that have low expectations for him... and by that I mean 14 points, 4 assists type expectations... But don't. Please expect big things from this kid. I'm honestly thinking he's gonna be close to a 20 point 10 assist type player. He's gonna be everything that we Blazer fans have hoped for. He's got that quiet swagger similar to Derrick Rose in which he lets his game do the talking. For once I can say the Blazers got the right guy in the draft.
