The NBA is rising, the NFL is falling.

Anybody else get this vibe? Don't get me wrong, i am a true fan of both leagues. I love my Blazers, and love my Steelers. That said, anybody else feel like the NFL has lost its bulk, pride and excitement? Let me explain.

First, the NBA crime level seems to have dropped tremendously over the past couple years, and it seems like the guys coming in this league now, are more intelligent and well mannered than what they used to be (ZBo, Dmiles, mighty mouse) We do still have our occasional gay slur on twitter, *cough* Amare. *cough* But, as far as drugs and crimes. Either players have gotten better at hiding it, or they simply aren't into it right now.

Second, YES, most hate the old Stern. But the fingers pointed at Stern are small, weak pinkys. And the fingers pointed at Goodell right now are big burly pointer fingers. Maybe throw a bird in there. Personally, i am very angry with Goodell and the things he has been doing to the league. While Stern... well he just gives NOH the first pick.

I also feel as though the talent level in basketball is generally going up, while the talent level in football is dropping. Maybe athletes are still bigger and better than 40 years ago. The BASKETBALL skills coming out of the draft these days seem much higher than what the football skills are. Andrew Luck gets paid. Trent Richardson? I don't think he will ever be Barry Sanders, but they talk about him like he is.

Point is, NBA is getting more exciting, reasonable and talented. While the NFL is getting more annoying, political and all about the money, even MORE so than the NBA.

Opinions? I'd love to Banter.
