NBA Discussing Replays for Future Goaltend Errors

3

The NBA Officials are discussing a number of rule plays this Summer: One of them is near and dear to us -- allowing replay for a close-call goaltend with less than 2 minutes left in the game. While the Portland/OKC game is not mentioned in the article, the NBA has made no secret that they're aware of what happened. They're also considering allowing replays to determine whether a defender was inside the restricted circle when a foul is called in the final two minutes. Previously, only Flagrant 2 fouls could be replayed. Now, there is discussion of allowing replays of a Flagrant 1 to determine if there's an error. This is a reaction to the Miami/Indiana playoff incident. Lastly, though David Stern has discussed his unhappiness with flopping, there will be no votes about flopping on their agenda. See more at the article, it's an interesting read.
