Lost in all the mourning over the loss of our beloved point guard Raymond Felton, Summer League, and the Batum hoopla, Portland cut ties with veteran center Dan Gadzuric.

Thank you for having the last name Gadzuric. It is fun to say. You didn't complain about being a sidenote in the trade between the Blazers and Knicks, and yet the whole deal wouldn't have been possible without your non-guaranteed, insta-waivable contract.

You have broken two curses that have dogged the Blazers. First you helped us to get rid of Raymond Felton. 'Nuff said. Secondly, you were the only Blazer big in recent memory to not miss significant time due to injury. The fact that you were waived before any possibility of missing action does not lessen the importance. The Blazer big man curse is over, thanks to you big guy!

Also, with Joel Freeland and Victor Claver coming over this year, we would have had no Euros to speculate about. Now with the acquisition of KostaRica Paplinoukuapapapa and Georgie Printeziloplis or whatever their names are, we should have our oversea player fix for the next year or two.
