Coach?

Alright folks, there has been alot of talk about the future of the coaching staff and alot of good ideas have been thrown about by the Blazers fan Base. In my reading I see alot of big names, names like Phil Jackson, Brian Shaw, Patrick Ewing, and Scottie Pippen has even come up. These are some pretty big names if you ask me. In my thoughts of who would be a good coach for Leonard I realize that it needs to be a big coach to coach a big guy. I am sure everyone agrees there so lets continue. Ewing is a good bigs coach, a few of his prospects are Dwight Howard and Roy Hibbert. Now I am all for bringing in Ewing to coach Leonard but I would like to introduce the idea of bringing a different big in as a coach, a guy who is skilled in every form that I see in Leonard, a guy who has a basketball IQ among the best, a guy who Leonard reminds me of and yet he is so young, now if you haven't figured out who I am talking about yet here's a hint he is taller then Shaq and used to be a Blazer. Get it now? Thats right, I am talking about Arvydas Sabonis.

In his prime he was the best, his IQ is one of the highest I have ever seen and his passing/shot skills were uncanny. In my opinion he would be a better coach to Leonard then Ewing would be simply put I don't think Ewing would be able to help him as much with the passing skill. If Ewing does end up being the coach I think we should definately bring back Joel as a specialist coach alongside Ewing to work with Leonard on Defense and Ewing would be able to focus soley on Leonards offensive game. In my mind Arvydas would be able to do both of these or we could bring both Sabonis and Ewing on as specialist coaches.

As for the head coaching job and the rest of the stuff, I think it is very capable to pull this off and I have recently read the idea of bringing in Fisher as a vet point to help with Lillard, I think D-Fish has lost his attitude and is more protective of his team. He earned alot of respect from me in the NBA Finals against Miami. So with that in mind I have officially jumped on the Fish to PDX Band-Wagon. In my mind this coaching lineup of a Laker, a Bull, a Knick, and a Blazer is amazing. The idea of a President that was a Knick, that was a Bull, that was a Laker, and now he may just become a member of the best team in the NBA, The Portland TrailBlazers. This idea in my mind is great if pulled off it will be epic.
