I know, I know...we're still in the middle of the Free Agent frenzy and we're all sick of talking about Batum. But, if we can't get the pieces we want out of Minnesota, are we looking at finding other teams that might like to get in on this action? For instance, I see one player on MIN that I think we could really use, Luke Ridnour. Totally reliable back-up for Lilliard. If Lilliard goes down, I'm okay with Ridnour starting, he's legit. But he's not enough for Batum so...

What about Washington? They've got Nene and Okafer at Center. I realize Okafer is overpaid, but only for another 2 years right? And his interior defence would compliment LMA nicely I think. WSH would love to get rid of Blatch (knucklehead) so I they would likely LOVE to get Derrick Williams from MN (who I heard MN offered us?) WSH could have a crazy good young core of Wall/Beal/Williams (not to mention Veseley and Crawford who are decent) plus Nene, Ariza and Seraphin.

So we sign Batum for $12.5m and ship him to MN who sends us Ridnour and WSH Williams, while WSH sends us Okafer.

We end up getting Ridnour and Okafer which really adds depth though we drop in SF some losing Batum for Claver.
