Blazers Recovery Plan?

So Batum wants out, Hibbert is staying in Indiana and we're all wondering what happens next. Since a sign and trade with Minnesota seems like a possibility why not try and recover some of what we lost with the Hibbert attempt in Nikola Pekovic. The guys a beast and his numbers are pretty similar to Hibbert's, other than the blocks, on about 2-3 less minutes a game.I like Batum but I think he's a 3rd best option on a championship caliber team at best. I'm thinking we ship Batum and whoever else we need to make it work for Pekovic, Williams, and Ridnour.. Pekovic is a RFA next year so if it doesn't work we let him go and use the cap space somewhere else. If it does work we have someone for Leonard to play behind until he adjusts to the NBA. If they both develop then we have options in trades. Ridnour gives Lillard some support as a backup and is an improvement over Smith. Williams comes in as a cheap replacement for Batum that we develop and hopefully we're back on track to competing in a year or two. K. Love has stated that he might want out if the T-Wolves don't improve so we have the chance to take advantage of a team here and I say we go for it. We missed on Hibbert but Pekovic is a good and much cheaper replacement. If they really want Batum let's use him to set up our future. Check it out: Hibbert Vs. Pekovic Stats
