The What's Going To Happen To Batum Tonight POLL?
OK, we've heard just about everything there is to hear about Nic Batum. From he dreams of Minnesota winters, to he won't be upset coming back to PDX. We've heard about sign & trades from Williams to Iggy. We've heard there will be a $45M+ offer tonight, to there will be no offer at all. We've seen Jason Quick write that Olshey said he will match anything and won't facilitate a sign & trade, to us witnessing Olshey saying yesterday that "what you are going to see will be in the best interest of the organization, today and in the future".
Olshey said he talked to David Kahn, and that would remain private. Was he scolding Kahn for leaking stories about Batum not wanting to return to PDX? Or was he discussing a sign and trade?
We heard Olshey at his introductory press conference refer to Aldridge and Batum as franchise "building blocks." So will he match a Batum offer and start construction, or begin demolition of that foundation?
As the clock ticks down to 9 pm tonight, when offer sheets and contracts can finally be signed, what is going to happen with Nic Batum? We may find out today (because these things tend to leak out early) or we may find out tonight at 9 pm or as we move into tomorrow. Even if there is no offer sheet signed tonight, that will be news.
