As expected but not hoped by many TrailBlazers fans, Indiana Pacers have finally answered the long awaited question and decided to match the offer. "CRAP", now what? I find myself thinking about all the new possibilities that have just opened up for us. It has been determined that Minnisota will not be able to offer Batum because they will not have enough cap space to do so. There for in conclusion Nic is going to be stuck waiting around for the Blazers to send him an offer for 9 mil per 5 years after we get everything else done.

In the mean time there are many options available. Dejaun Blair is unhappy in San Antonio and wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't a Spur next year. From what I read he seemed pretty unhappy with the Spurs' organization, and he is cheap less then 1.1 mil next year. I think Blair would be a good cheap back up for LaMarcus that we can probly aquire with a little bit of money thrown at San Antonio.

Aaron Brooks who I have been on the band wagon for since day one is now a free agent would it be possible to bring him in for that 6th man roll? I think so, I think he may feel like he is under appriciated by many people and other organizations, this being said I think he would be more willing to fall in place and embrace the 6th man roll. These two players would solve a few back up problems on the 2nd unit PF and PG.

So what would be next? A back up for Batum at SF? Who is still available? There's Craig Brackins UFA out of Philly. I would hope to see us pursue Gerald Green UFA from Brooklyn who would be a great back up for Batum. We could go after many players that would fit the bench very well question is would the certain players that eventually end up being picked to back up the starters be able to click together? Only time will tell but I would honestly like to see a roster that will complament each other to play better for both the first and second units. What is your theories on what to do nex?
