Don't get me wrong, Marshall is going to be a good player. Just not for our team. We don't have enough spot up shooters to balance out his lack of scoring ability. I'd rather get Lillard and hope that he can develop the type of create-your-own-shot type of late game situations that we need.
As for Drummond and the Blazers gap in the front court... I think size is something we can address through free agency. I'd rather take a scoring prospect than a big man who could take years to develop an offensive game. Someone like Beal, Barnes, Lamb or maybe even Rivers would help us more right off the bat in terms of getting buckets. Think about when we had Camby, who is by most people's opinions a solid yet over-the-hill defensive big, and even if we got big time stops, we couldn't score in the clutch.
#6 pick: take Beal, Barnes or Lamb
#11 pick: take Lillard, Rivers or Waiters
Dark horse pick at 11: take Perry Jones III and play him at the 3. His defense and shot blocking ability are suspect but if you give him room to develop into the longest scoring wing of all time it could be awesome.
