I don't know about you guys, but the one player that I am dying for the Blazers to draft is Thomas Robinson. I remember watching his second game of the season against Kentucky not knowing who the heck he was... But he really caught my attention. He rebounded, hustled, played hard, never gave up, and just looked natural at everything he was doing. Sure he's only 6'8, but he seems bigger by the way he plays.
Seems like a lot of you Blazer fans are super high on Andre Drummond, but he really isn't that good. The upside is that he's big and athletic, but he only averaged 7.7 rebounds vs. TRob's 11.8. What scares me even more is that he shot less than 30% from the free throw line............ Those two numbers alone tells me he's soft, and has a poor work ethic... I can shoot better than that with my left hand...
Anyways, Thomas Robinson is a straight up beast, that will be a star in this league. I don't think his height matters that much. If he and Lamarcus pair up in the front court they will be one of the most dynamic front courts in the NBA. and I know how much Lamarcus hates being called a C, so our starting line up can just have three Forwards and two Guards.
I really hope our new GM can get us Thomas Robinson, because he's one hell of a talent, that has an extreme work ethic, and you can just tell that he strives to get to the next level. His attitude really sets him apart in my opinion.
p.s. Kansas didn't have much of a squad, it was really Thomas Robinson's leadership that got them as far as they did.
