Sam Amick of SI.com reports on Twitter that the Portland Trail Blazers will not pursue Phoenix Suns unrestricted free agent guard Steve Nash. ------------------------------------ While some teams pursuing Steve Nash expected Portland to join the race, sources say the Blazers aren't in that hunt. ------------------------------------ Nash, 38, has been linked to the Blazers in trade rumors for years. He averaged 12.5 points, 10.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds and shot 53.2 percent from the field in 21.6 minutes per game last season. Nash is expected to be pursued by the likes of the Suns, Toronto Raptors, and New York Knicks, among others. Some have concluded that players like Nash will not be on Portland's free agency radar because Blazers GM Neil Olshey has stressed that his team is looking for sustainable success rather than quick fixes.
