Blazers Out Of Race For Rockets UFA G Goran Dragic?

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports on Twitter that Houston Rockets unrestricted free agent point guard Goran Dragic must hold the starting job wherever he lands in free agency. ------------------------------- Whether guard Goran Dragic stays in Houston - or leaves for Phoenix, Toronto, or elsewhere - he needs to know he's the starter, sources say. ------------------------------- Ken Berger of CBSSports.com reports on Twitter that Dragic is looking for an eight-figure per year pay day. ------------------------------- League sources say free-agent PG Goran Dragic also is looking for a deal that starts in the $10M range. ------------------------------- Dragic, who has been linked to the Portland Trail Blazers in rumors for months, backed up Kyle Lowry for much of the 2011-12 season until Lowry missed time with a mysterious illness. Blazers GM Neil Olshey said that Portland selected a "franchise point guard" in Weber State's Damian Lillard during Thursday's 2012 NBA Draft. ------------------------------- Update: Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports on Twitter that the Blazers "will no longer pursue" Dragic. ------------------------------- Dragic, 26, averaged 11.7 points, 5.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game last season.
