fairlly said I feel like this is not what we can do best.
First of all, I like Lillard, he's a hard worker, a very capable shooter, dribbler, and seems like a vocal guy on court, so confidence and leadership is no problem, he's different from all the point guards we had before, this is for sure.A more talent one might be Bayless, but he can't shoot. So it's a good pick.
But in my opinion, you really can take a risk on Drummend, let me tell you this, you need a guy who bring you championship, who cares if he's a hard worker or not, everyone knows this guy is really talented, and if you see him play defense, motor is not really a problem, and he is also willing to run coast to coast, from one end to the other, and play defense.A lazy guy don't do that and don't play defense like that, we just have to say that he's too mature and to young, sometimes doesn't know what to do on the court, but he really can play, and talented.I think time will tell.
And Harrison Barnes, he is not a franchise changer, but this guy really can score.Off the dribble, catch and shoot, he puts up numbers, a really steady and solid player, a Luol Deng type player, maybe a little bit better. That is enough for pick No.6 , you don't find a franchise changer here, you find a second option, and if your first option is not on the court, he is the 1 option. But not choosing him is ok becuse Batum is our guy and really has a lot not shown yet.
The real problem is Leonard, man this guy just can't play.I've seem his team's video, not highlight, he really just disappear in nearly every position, doesn' try to box out for better rebound position, and what is weird is that he is UIUC's focal point on offense. You don't call a guy in his sophomore year raw.his offense is raw because he doesn't know how to play.he has height, but you can imagine in the NBA he will lost in the paint because he make decision way too slow in the paint.
If someone really watch UNC's games, you really see how good Kendall Marshall is. He's really special, a floor general, which the Blazers really need right now. He puts everybody in their posision, and makes his teammates a lot better.I can imagine if LMA, Batum, Wesley have Marshall as our PG, this will really be a good team. He's a game changer undoubtedly, a pure PG that is hard to find in today's NBA. Rubio, Nash, Kidd, Andre Miller... and if anyone question his lateral quickness on the defense end, man if Andre Miller can find a way to stay on the court, why Marshall can't.His phisical tools are actully not bad.You can imagine he's a young Miller with outside shooting, but no post games. In my opinion, that is really great for a PG.
Last one Will Barton, I think he's a sleeper and can play.Hope he makes the team and this is a nice pick.
After all, I feel like we can do better. If Lilliard 6 and Marshall 11 is good.Drummend 6 and Mrshall 11 is really good too. I feel that Lamb, Henson, Zeller, Fab Melo, even Plumlee are al better than Leonard. But I can't say trying to find a diomand in sand is wrong for Olshey, but hope he's a better trader than a talent evaluator. We can't be satisfied because we have a big right now, if he is the same as Thabeet who can't play either, we have to find somone else right.
