Ok, I've done the draft simulator on ESPN where you choose your own according to who you think will be taken.. Taking into account all of the latest intel, I keep coming up with Kidd-Gilchrist available at six. I like Lillard, but I don't think you can pass on MKG's motor and intensity. Like Kenneth Faried, but with more basketball skills. I think his energy will drive some team for years. And if you use Chad Ford's current tier model, MKG is in the second tier, Lillard (and Drummond) in the third. If he is available what would you do?
I take him and then get Marshall or Leonard at 11... Move Nic to the 2, bring Wesley off the bench in a Harden role and plug in that Wildcat motor right in the heart of your lineup. Acquire a young pg via trade, these kinds of directions definitely seem possible to me.
And that motor is the same reason I would look hard at Jae Crowder in the second round. Intense desire to win..
