Portland fans are starving for a playoff team. While we might not win a title anytime soon, the Blazers need to be in the playoffs. It's essential to keeping the most loyal/involved fans in pro sports happy. As a result, we need to acquire veterans that are young enough to be here for the next 5 years. As a result, I suggest this off season plan.
- Trade the 11th pick and either the #40 pick or Victor claver to Houston for Kyle Lowry.
- Trade the 6th pick and Shawne Williams to Clevland for the 24th pick, Anderson Varejao, and a future 2nd rounder.
- Bring Joel Freeland over to backup Varejao.
- Resign Batum and Hickson
-Draft Tony Wroten(PG/SG) with the 24th pick acquired in the Cleveland trade.
Draft Darius Miller(SF) with our 41st pick.
-Resign Joel to basically be Juwan Howard from the Heat this season. Can never have to much size.
PG Lowry
SG Wesley

PF LA / JJ Hickson
C Varejao / Freeland
Depth: Tony Wroten(PG/SG), Nolan Smith(PG), Luke Babbit)SF), Darius Miller(SF) Elliot Williams (SG/SF) Kurt Thomas(C), Joel Pryz (C)
