With the draft order set and more crutial off-season events looming, here's my potential plan for the next few months.
First off in the draft, package the 41st pick, 6th pick (or 11th, which ever they will take) and Wes Mathews for the second pick from the Charlotte Bobcats. They, being the worst team in the league are gonna need more than just one star player in MKG and with Wes and another potential up-and-coming player they could rebuild more evenly if not as quickly.
Then with your second pick take MKG, with the eleventh take Kendall Marshall and with your 40th pick take Jared Cunningham (who is a completely underrated SG with striking similarities to E-will). With MKG set in as the SF "of the future" we don't have to throw exorbitant amounts of money at Nic in free agency and we can spend it resigning J.J. Hickson, Joel Przybilla and my personal favorite "The Rhino" and attempting to score a solid center & SG in Javale/Lopez and Gordon/Mayo and potentially some key role players. Bringing in freeland and Claver would further enhance the depth of the team.
Heres the line up in this scenario:
K Marshal/N Smith
E Gordon/E Williams/J Cunningham
MKG/V Claver
LA/ J.J. Hickson
J McGee/J Freeland/J Pryzbilla
Pretty fine lineup if i do say so myself, not to mention all of our centers would have first names starting in J. That has to be some sort of sign
