Jason Quick of The Oregonian reports that the Portland Trail Blazers and guard Jamal Crawford have agreed to push back the deadline for him to opt-out of his current contract to become a free agent. The deadline had previously been set at June 15 but has now been moved to June 29, one day after the 2012 NBA Draft.
The move allows the Blazers to use Crawford in a potential trade on draft night, which in turn, would award Crawford his Bird Rights, which will help him in his next contract.
