Reports: Brian Shaw Linked To Blazers Coaching Job

55
Sam Amick of SI.com reports on Twitter that Indiana Pacers assistant coach Brian Shaw is interested in coaching the Portland Trail Blazers. Shaw was recently reported to be one of three finalists -- along with former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan and Los Angeles Lakers assistant Quin Snyder -- to coach the Charlotte Bobcats. Sloan reportedly pulled his name out of the race on Thursday. ------------------------------ I'm told that Brian Shaw has not pulled himself out of the running for the Charlotte job, FWIW. Stay tuned. No final decision expected today. That being said, Shaw has legit interest in both the Portland and Orlando jobs. If I had to put one ahead of the other, it'd be Blazers. ------------------------------ Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports on Twitter... ------------------------------ Pacers assistant Brian Shaw had a strong interview for Charlotte coach job with [owner Michael Jordan] there, sources tell Y! No offer made. Portland, Orlando on Shaw's radar, too. ------------------------------ -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
