Today was the first major workout for the Blazers and the talent in the gym didn't disappoint. The Blazers had a total of 6 prospects in today including several projected to go in the lottery later this month. Jefferson High graduate and college National Champion Terrence Jones was in attendance along with forward PJ III, Jared Sullinger, Marquis Teague, Darius Johnson-Odom, and John Henson. The morning group didn't have the big names but Baylor forward Quincy Acy and VCU swingman Bradford Burgess were able to get in front of the Blazers front office in hopes of sparking an interest for one of Portland's second round picks. Here are some videos and interviews with the players, GM Neil Olshey and Owner Paul Allen.
Also Blazers GM Neil Olshey talked about the draft process, Selecting a coach and the possibilities of Euro stashes, Joel Freeland and Victor Claver coming over this year. His thoughts might surprise a lot of people.
And team Owner Paul Allen was on hand and talked to the media afterward. Paul doesn't take questions a lot but he does talk about the rumors of him selling the team, how much time he spends studying draft prospects and his thoughts on trading the picks or keeping them.
Also got a little peak at the end to watch some of the shooting drills. Sullinger looked smooth and Henson probably will be keeping it inside 18 feet.
Most of these players will be available at 11, should the Blazers grab one?
