What about our 2 for Portland's 6 and 11...better, worse?

Worse, but slightly more likely. If I was Portland, I’d stand pat with the picks, but they might see someone they like.
If they made that deal, I wouldn’t be opposed to moving down some more, flipping the 11th for Boston’s two first-rounders (20+21). They’re supposedly trying to trade up.

This is what I have been saying
we can make a SPLASH in this draft….but I’d try to get at least 3 POR picks THEN flip with BOS
6, 20,21, 31, 40…we fill roster spots and get loaded with young (cheap) talent…

My concern would be the balance of that team
Do we really want 7 guys who have less than a full year of NBA experience? I’d like to max out at 3 guys in this draft and start plugging some holes with veteran leadership to help develop the young guys.

Bring in a couple veterans then..

In that case
Take Dorell Wright in the GS trade…
Or take Wilson Chandler in a dump from Denver….
You pick up veterans in FA…but I dont see the need in picking up vets just for the fact of “helping the young guys”. That is NOT their job function. That is what coaching staffs do. You cant expect Maggs (15pt 4reb season) to want to sit behind MKG or Jamison (17pts 6rebs) to want to sit behind TRob just to “help them develop”. Its not plausible. I say if we can get 4 picks cool. If we can get more, cool. They can always be packaged to move someone right?
If we dont get TRob…Royce White does starting. Or Jamison and Mullens with a Aldemir or Drew Gordon playing DJWs role works for me…

Awesome idea but I doubt Portland would do that

Portland is the best deal
and using one to trade down with Boston or Houston…
I talked to a Bobcats ticket guy today (he called me) and told him MKG was the man. The caller essentially said to not be surprised when we trade for multiple lottery picks (Portland?). I know he was a bit low on the totem pole, but it was my first Phone Rosterbation…

I would trade #2 with Portland for their #6 and #11 in a heartbeat.

was talking about doing the exact deal with Cleveland and Portland that are being offered now BEFORE the draft…
So my record remains in tact
