There has been a great deal of talk about our needs of a point guard and a center. These are very valid needs for the team, in fact, we're next to desperate for them. BUT, I want a shooting guard. I've been in love with the shooting guard since the epic Jordan/Drexler wars, and Brandon Roy gave all of us that needed completeness we'd craved for so many years. I miss Brandon Roy terribly. Horribly. I get on this site everyday, so everyday I think of the blazers, and everyday I miss Brandon Roy.
SO...I don't wanna talk about point guards and centers. I want to talk about shooting guards. There are a few in this draft.
Brandon Roy: he was never an AMAZING athlete, good but not amazing, but watching his college highlight reels...he just always knew where to be. Where his body was supposed to be, how to get there, where the ball was supposed to go, and he executed it.
I've been watching highlights by swishscout and the contestants are: Bradley Beal, Dion Waiters, Terrance Ross, Austin Rivers, and Jeremy Lamb.
.....who do you feel is going to stand out the most? Ross is a NO-GO for me, Waiters...I dont know yet. Rivers is the most impressive and assertive. The type to take over a game *cough roy cough* which we've been missing. But Jeremy Lamb looks confident, fluid, and athletic. Your guess is as good as mine!
Who would you choose?!
