GINOBILI FOR BATUM?

I have just read this quote at Hoopshype:

John Hollinger: Not sure where this Batum-Spurs nonsense comes from. They'd have to either not re-sign Duncan or amnesty Manu. Not happening. Twitter

More after the jump.

Manu was born in 1977 and has a recent injury story that have sidelined him for a lot of games. He is under contract for 2012-2013 with a 14.107.491 salary (Storyteller data). San Antonio´s championship window is closing quickly, and I think we´ll probably see this month how old they are when playing against very physical teams, although their coach has made an incredible work keeping them rested. Thing is they are in very good position to start a reloading process to compete for at least five more years. They have one of the best PGs in the league in his prime, who wants to play with his friend Batum, Nando De Colo developing in Europe, good young SGs, the Center of the Future in Splitter, who I think will be soon one of the best bigs in the NBA, the rights to Erazem Lorbek, probably the best PF in Europe, and more. First question is how much sense would it have for SA to look for a sign and trade with the Blazers putting Manu Ginobili on the table. Second question, how much sense would it have for the Blazers.
