The always-readable Joe Freeman at the Oregonian posted an interesting article about Coach Kaleb's effect on his players, and a behind-the-scenes look on his role as head coach and newly-formed disciplinarian. A random snippet: ---- He continues to work out players during pregame shootarounds, something virtually no NBA head coach does. He continues to sleep most nights at the practice facility in Tualatin, admitting that he has crashed in his own bed just three nights since becoming coach. And he continues to bounce around NBA arenas and practice courts buzzing with energy, high-fiving and fist-bumping everyone in sight. Canales almost certainly is the only NBA head coach who zips through back hallways of arenas leaping into the air to touch the top of a doorway while jokingly saying, "Look at those hops."
