100% hypothetical playoff run

Stay connected for news and updates

Before I get bashed for even mentioning playoffs let me say I am in no way implying that either getting to the playoffs is good or possible, or that the Blazers would not go 0-4 against the thunder or anyone else...but, for the sake of conversation;

Let's say the Blazers miraculously get to the playoffs where everyone assumes they'll lose in (likely) 4 or (possibly) 5 against the Thunder and they pull off an extremely massive upset and win against the Thunder. Hickson lights up and provides good numbers, good rebounds and highlight dunks every night, Flynn dose a fine job, we get a little flash of Thabeet doing...something good if not at least acceptable. LMA is LMA, Batum is consistent and aggresive, Ray Ray doesn't Fail and we get flashes of brilliance here and there, the interior defense is all of a sudden good, and the team looks like they're comfortable together, etc.

What I'm proposing is that if this were to hypothetically occur, what do you think the after affect would be?

for example;

would Batums offers suddenly sky rocket, going from 7-8 mil to 12 mil?

would Kaleb get a contract for long term?

would the price of JJ and Flynn get a boost?

would people be signed that wouldn't have been?

would a star caliber player feel more inclined to sign with the Blazers?

and whatever possibilities could come as a result

What do you think would occur if the Blazers managed to climb into a very very unlikely spotlight?

Would they be better off for it, or in a worse place long term as a result?

and, how would you feel about it?

etc.
