Let's be honest. This team's ceiling this year was probably a semi-finals appearance. Now the Blazers have a chance to either hold on to their expiring contracts and have a ton of cap space, or possibly trade them for picks (this would be preferable). Blazers will get a lottery pick which in this draft has some chance of being a rotation player, perhaps something even better. In a harsher cap environment the Blazers have a chance to both have some young assets on rookie contracts and have enough space to surround Aldridge with veterans and remain competitive. Is anyone else feeling optimistic?
