Eggers: Allen Questioned Blazers' Commitment To Aldridge

Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune has an interview with Portland Trail Blazers All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge, which includes a discussion of an exchange with owner Paul Allen. ------------------------- Tribune: Have you had any conversations with owner Paul Allen about the team? Aldridge: I have. We talked by phone not that long ago, before all these moves. He is looking for us to compete and play hard, but he wasn't satisfied. He felt like guys weren't all-the-way committed and weren't playing hard every game. He said if we played hard and competed every night, he could live with that. But he couldn't live with guys not competing. Tribune: Would you like the opportunity to talk with Allen on a more regular basis? Aldridge: It doesn't matter. If he wants to hear what I have to say, that's fine. If he doesn't, he always has Chad and Larry to ask questions. ------------------------- Aldridge also expressed a desire to remain in Portland long-term. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
