Reports: Blazers Begin GM Search Process
Jason Quick of The Oregonian reports...
----------------
Trail Blazers president Larry Miller on Tuesday night says the team has started its process to look for a new general manager. Miller says the Blazers' ideal candidate will have GM experience OR a highly regarded No. 2 man in the NBA. Miller said previous candidates will NOT be considered. Last year, the Blazers interviewed "5 or 6" candidates according to Miller.
----------------
Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune reports the same, and adds that Miller said interim coach Kaleb Canales could be considered for the full-time position.
----------------
"We’re going to look at how it goes the rest of the year, and it’s very possible he’ll be a candidate when we hire a new coach," Miller said.
