151
Chris Broussard of ESPN.com reports that the Boston Celtics and Portland Trail Blazers discussed a possible trade involving All-Star forward Paul Pierce. --------------------------- The Celtics offered Paul Pierce to Portland -- I'm not sure what they asked for in return -- but the Blazers were not interested because of the two years and $32 million remaining on Pierce's contract. The Blazers are positioning themselves to have tons of cap room this summer and they don't want to do anything to eliminate their space as they try to rebuild around LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum. The Blazers continue to shop the rest of their roster, particularly Gerald Wallace, Ray Felton, Marcus Camby and Jamal Crawford. --------------------------- Broussard also reports... --------------------------- The Lakers called Portland recently to inquire about a possible trade for Crawford. ... The Suns want to re-sign [Aaron] Brooks at the right price and intend to visit him in China during the championship series. Portland and Sacramento also have interest in Brooks. --------------------------- Hat tip: HoopsHype.com -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
