Matt Calkins of The Columbian has posted some quotes from Miami Heat All-Star forward LeBron James discussing Portland Trail Blazers All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge at Thursday morning's shootaround.

I've always thought he's been an All-Star for the past few years, and I was glad he got his first experience of being an All-Star."

Do you think you will guard Aldridge tonight?

I’d say Lebron (via “the Decision”) has one of the worst track records ever of any professional athlete when it comes to “handling the press.”

Maybe you meant bringing the ball upcourt under defensive pressure.

id love to have lebron guard LMA

LMA would dominate him in the post. Id much rather have Lebron guard LMA than Joel Anthony or Udonis Haslem, both those guys can D up

I undertand people don't like Lebron, but does anyone honestly think he's not an amazing player?

Lebron’s one of the most versatile defender’s in the league. People need to put the hate aside and accept the fact that statistically, only Michael Jordan has been close to Lebron. All I know is there’s really only one player in the league I know the Blazers won’t have a chance to stop and it’s Lebron. We’ve caused Kobe to have multiple poor games and made Durant look average a couple times, but we’ve never been able to do anything against Lebron.
